Kampala is an extremely safe city to explore and visitors should be sure to experience the striking contrast between the city centers on the slopes of Nakaserero hill. Above Kampala road, the main fare, leafy avenues are lined with restored colonial buildings many occupied by quality restaurants and hotels and band new office buildings while downhill, congested streets slope to colorful markets, chaotic bus park and a permanent gridlock of cars, boda bodas and pedestrians.
Kampala traffic jams can be frustrating, unlike many other cities around the world. However, word of caution; if you don’t have a helmet, best you ignore the Boda boda. There two taxi parks that is the old and new Taxi Park where you can get the public means of transport that help move people from the city centre to other places. There is the Uganda Central Police within Kampala to provide security to the people.
