The Kasubi Tombs – Muzibuazaala-Mpanga
The traditional royal burial tombs of Kabakas (kings) of Buganda situated 5km from the city center on Kampala/Hoima road. The late KabakasMutesa I, Muwanga, Daudi
Chwa and Mutesa II were buried here. This historical site was once the place of Buganda Kingdom. Muzibu azaala-Mpanga is a magnificent round thatched building 14 metres in diameter.

Namugongo Uganda Martyrs Shrine
The Namugongo Uganda Martyrs ‘shrine is a historical and religious site where 20 Christians were burned alive in 1886 on orders of the king of Buganda. It is 12 km north-east of Kampala.

The Parliament Building is the seat of the government of Uganda and a symbol of the country’s independence that was attained on 9th October 1962 from the British. In 2012, Uganda celebrated 50 years of independence (the Golden Jubilee).

Lubaga Cathedral
The Lubaga’smagnificent St Mary’s Catholic Church is found on Lubaga hill, another historical hill overlooking the Kabaka’s palace in Mengo.
