Situated on the outskirts of Kampala city, Kireka Hill stands high at 4,189 feet and it offers magnificent views of most Kampala Surburbs in the east. Visitors will enjoy the stunning view of parts of Lake Victoria & Bukasa wetland from the peak of Kireka hill, tour the Kabaka’s (King) Palace and the Sevethday Adventist church head quarters.
A women project called Women of Kireka coordinates several projects in the area like Stone Quarrying, Bead & jewelry making all aimed at raising incomes of its members.
Getting there:
Take a mini bus-taxi from the old or the new Kampala Taxi Park or along Jinja Road. These taxis run regularly from Kampala to Kireka upto Bweyogerere. Get off at Kireka then take a Boda-Boda to the hill top.
