Kibuli Hill lies 5.6 Km southeast Kampala city and Kibuli hill is one of the seven hills making up Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Among other hill making up Kampala city include; Nsambya hill, Namirembe hill, Lubaga/Rubaga hill, Nakasero Hill, Kololo hill and Old Kampala hill.
Just like the six mentioned hills, Kibuli hill is also significant both in and out. At the top of Kibuli hill sits the most distinguished mosque in Kampala – The Kibuli Mosque. The hill is set apart from the other hills atleast 5 Kms away. Kibuli hill offers splendid view of Kampala city and other hills.

In 1930’s, Prince Badru Kakungulu, from the Buganda Royal Family owned most of the land at Kibuli hill, later he donated some hectares to the Muslim community in Uganda to develop it and run several projects like schools, income generating activities etc.

At the base of the Kibuli hill, on the eastern side lies Namuwongo township, the location of the old Industrial Area in Kampala city. In the same area sit the petroleum oil depots and head offices of Shell Uganda and Total Uganda the leading petroleum dealers in Uganda.
The Kibuli Hospital sometimes referred to as Kibuli Muslim Hospital (KMH) was founded in 1975 as an outpatient facility. Later the hospital added an inpatient unit with fifty nine (59) beds in 1995. In 2005, the Kibuli hospital opened a brand new Emergency Medicine Department, along with a new Outpatient Wing.

Take a mini-bus taxi from the Kampala old taxi park. They run via both directions i.e Nsambya – Mbogo Road and the prince Badru Kangulu Road. Kibuli hill is 10 minutes drive from Kampala.
