Bweyogerere is situated on a hill that rises to a peak of 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) above sea level.
The higher reaches of the hill are occupied by upscale homes with manicured lawns and fenced yards. The middle reaches of the hill are occupied by middle class homes, apartment buildings and hotels. The lower reaches of the hill is where the lower social class find homes in tight-fitting 1 or 2 room rental units. Also on the lower reaches of the hill one finds shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and small-scale industries.
In this same area, on the south-facing side of the hill, the Kampala-Jinja Highway traverses the township. Mandela National Stadium is located in the southwestern corner of Bweyogerere, on the southern side of the Highway. Kampala Industrial and Business Park, one of the designated industrial areas within the greater Kampala Metropolitan Area is located in Namanve, in the southeastern corner of Bweyogerere. The Kampala Northern Bypass Highway, a 21 kilometres (13 mi) dual carriageway road forming an arc around the northern half of the city of Kampala, leaves the Kampala-Jinja Highway at Bweyogerere and begins its winding journey that ends in Nateete on the Kampala-Masaka Highway.
