Naguru hill stands at 1,300 metres above sea level. It is the highest hill in Kampala, the Capital City of Uganda. This hill commands a magnificent view of the entire Kampala city and the seven hill of Kampala (Kibuli, Mengo, Nakasero, Namirembe, Lubaga, Makerere, Kololo, and old Kampala hill.
Naguru area is bordered by Ntinda trading centre, Nakawa, Namuwongo, Kololo, Kamwookya, Bukoto and Kigoowa trading centre to the north.
The top of the hill houses many radio and telecommunication masts operated by communication companies like; MTN Uganda, WBS TV, Uganda Broadcasting Corporation and many more.
Naguru hill is one of Uganda’s premier residential places. This hill is preferred by the middle class in Uganda, expatriates and holiday travelers because of well planned facilities like; Roads, water, electricity, health facilities etc. The hill harbors short & long term apartments to luxury mansions, executive homes, guesthouses and recreation centres like; Tennis & Rugby courts, Jogging trucks, health & fitness centres.
Getting There:
Minibus taxis run daily from the old Kampala taxi park to Naguru hill and neighboring areas. They charge Shs 1,500 to Ush 2,000, one way fee.
