Mbuya hill lie in south-eastern part of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. It rises 4,300 ft above sea level.
Mbuya is bordered by Kyambogo to the north, Kinawataka and Kireka to the northeast, Butabika and Biina to the east, Mutungo to the southeast, Luzira Port Bell, Kitintale and Bugoloobi to the south, Namuwongo to the southwest, Nakawa to the west and Ntinda to the northwest.
Mbuya was the seat of Kaggo – the title of the County Chief of Kyaddondo, which covers most of present-day Kampala and is one of the twenty counties of Buganda Kingdom. The county seat was subsequently moved to Kasangati and Mbuya was converted into an upscale residential and commercial area.
At the base of the Mbuya hill you find Bugolobi shopping centre, Nakumatt Supermarket Bugoloobi branch, pharmacies, supermarkets and roadside shop-bars.

Getting there:
Taxis are the common transport means to Mbuya Hill. These Fourteen seats Taxis are available in the Kampala Old taxi park and they run daily to Mbuya via Nakawa and the New Port Bell Road.
